Best Mushroom Ever!
Remember the recipe for basic tomato sauce? You do! Hey, thanks for reading forktime. Use that recipe in this recipe. If you don't want to make the marinara, you can use a good sauce in a jar. Ryan and I had just one of these for dinner because the mushroom caps I got were HUGE! I couldn't even finish mine. Enjoy.
Italian Mushrooms
2 large portobello mushroom caps
1 cup marinara
1/2 cup shredded quattro formaggio (asiago, parmesan, fontina and provolone)
olive oil
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Preheat a grill pan or a grill on medium high heat. Rub some olive oil on the mushroom caps and grill them about 4 minutes on each side. Transfer them to a baking sheet and top each mushroom with half the sauce and then sprinkle with half the cheese. Bake on 400 for about 10 or 15 minutes until cheese is melted and beginning to brown.

That is the strangest looking thing I've ever thought of consuming. But I'm definitely up for trying it!!! I LOVE mushrooms!!!! =)
